Discounted Guide Trip Offers

Discounts

Please note:

The various samplers, schools, and other specialized trips discussed on our Other Trips page have already had any applicable discounts factored in.  Thus, the following discounts apply only to our standard walk, float, or spring creek trips.  See the applicable pages (links above) for more information on these standard trips.

Consecutive-Day Discount

Because multi-day consecutive bookings with the same clients results in less paperwork, a more relaxed relationship between our guides and our clients, and provides other benefits, we offer a standard discount of 10% off our normal rates for bookings of four or more consecutive days.  This policy is valid throughout our March-November guiding season.  In general, you will be guided by several guides over the course of a multi-day booking, but if you prefer a specific guide or guides, please note this when you book and we can match your request if the guide or guides you prefer are not already booked.  The earlier you book, the more likely it is your preferred guide(s) will be available.

Please contact us for sample trip itineraries if you're considering booking multiple days.  Depending on your interests, skill level, the season, and water/weather conditions, we can combine walk, float, and spring creek trips in myriad ways to suit you.  If you're interested in a broad-based understanding of area fishing, consider the Yellowstone Sampler.  Some of the packages discussed on our Other Trips page may also meet your needs.

Some specific policies apply to this discount.  1.) The offer is valid only for full-day trips.  2.) While the multi-day discount does apply to trips charged under our "shoulder season" discounted rates, it does not apply to trips booked under our early booking policy rates.  We simply wouldn't make any money on the trips if we combined all these offers.  3.) The same client or clients need to be involved on every day of the booking.  For parties employing multiple guides, you can switch clients among the guides as you see fit.

Early Booking Policy

Winter is when our guides fret about being able to live on something more substantial than beans and rice, and about whether they can afford things like new boats and trucks (and trips to Mexico for bonefish or New Zealand for trout).  Having some trips on the books very early in the offseason is helpful in budgeting for these "necessities."  For this reason, trips booked prior to January 1 for the following season fall under the previous season's rates.  A trip booked on November 1, 2008 for March 15 (or August 15) 2009 would fall under 2008 rates, for example.  With gas prices rising so quickly and our rates rising to match, booking under this policy can result in considerable savings.

Conditions: 1.) Offer cannot be combined with any other discount save our standard shoulder season rate.  2.) Any alterations to your itinerary after January 1 except possibly those caused by weather/river conditions will (at our discretion) void the special early booking rate.  3.) Additional guided days booked after January 1 will be charged standard rates.  4.) Offer valid for full-day trips (or multiple full-day trips) only.

Shoulder Season Rates

Because weather conditions and other factors somewhat reduce our business in spring and late fall, even though the fishing is excellent in the right places, we charge a special low rate during these periods.  Please see our rate information below.

Condition: shoulder season rates valid ONLY for full-day trips taken with Walter Wiese or Richard Parks.

Lodging and Guiding Discount

Anglers who fish with us and stay at the Gardiner Guesthouse will receive a 10% discount on lodging, with a ratio of one guided trip per discounted night.  Stays of five nights or more automatically receive this discount, no matter how many days you fish with us.  In the July-September timeframe, you need to book at least 90 days early to have a reasonable chance of having a room available.  All other discounts also may apply, as the Gardiner Guesthouse is managed as a separate business from the shop.  When you book your lodging, please mention that you'll be fishing with us, as otherwise Nancy Parks will have no way of knowing that the discount applies.

Please note that it is quite cost-effective to combine a multi-day guide trip booking with multiple nights of lodging, as the 10% discount discussed above will apply in both cases.

Please note that the rates above do not include additional access fees for the Paradise Valley spring creeks.  Shoulder season rates apply from roughly March 1 until the day before the YNP opener and from October 15 until roughly November 15.  Rate is for one or two anglers.  Three angler trips and half-days are not available.

*Parties of more than two anglers per guide are only possible on walk & wade trips. We strongly encourage a ratio of one or two clients per guide on all trips.  This dramatically increases the guide's efficiency and results in much more personal attention for each client.  In addition, many of our waters are not suitable for more than two anglers at a time, so destinations for large parties may be limited.
