We offer discounts for early booking, long bookings, large parties, trips booked during our shoulder seasons, and combinations of guided fishing and lodging. In general these discounts do not apply to private water trips in spring and fall, for which our rates are already lower to compensate for the access fees demanded by the landowners. Read on for more information. Unless noted, these discounts cannot be combined. Discounts apply only to full-day trips.
If you book a standard public water walk trip or river float trip before January 1, you will either pay last year's rates or receive 10% off if our rates do not change, whichever provides the larger discount. This offer can apply to our lower shoulder season rate. Please note that additional trips booked after January 1 or other changes to your itinerary will result in standard rates being applied.
We apply a 10% discount to standard bookings of four or more consecutive days, or five or more bookings during the same stay even if these bookings are not consecutive. This discount policy is our usual method of putting together multiday trips. Depending on when you plan to come, we can combine a wide range of walk trips and float trips for you. While this discount does not apply to private water trips already billed at the reduced spring and fall rate, private water days will add to the total, so a four day booking including a day on the spring creeks and one on a private lake will result in a 10% discount being applied to the two public water days.
For particularly long bookings with repeat clients, we will increase this discount further. A deeper discount is also possible for extended bookings with large groups. Please discuss the details with Richard or Walter, preferably by phone.
A 10% price break will be applied to bookings of any duration for parties requiring four or more guides per day. For groups booking multiple days, we typically offer additional incentives such as slideshows, seminars, etc. Please contact us for more information if you're looking to put together such a large group trip. For groups of this size, the more notice the better. It may be difficult for us to accomodate bookings requiring more than six guides per day even with six months notice, though we'd certainly love to see what we could do.
We charge lower rates for standard trips early and late in our guiding year. These rates are shown in rates box on the appropriate page. The other discounts noted above do stack on top of shoulder season prices, so if you're coming early and late and book several days, it's possible to get a great deal. Shoulder season rates apply from the beginning of our guiding season in early March through the Friday before Memorial Day and again in the fall from October 10 through November 10.
While not shoulder season rates exactly, we offer discounted rates on spring creek and lake trips extending farther into the season than regular shoulder season rates. Check rates for details.
The Gardiner Guesthouse offers a 10% price break on lodging for our guided trip clients, with one discounted night given per guided trip. Since the Gardiner Guesthouse is managed separately from the fly shop, the 10% price breaks discussed above will be applied when applicable for clients who are also staying at the B&B. When you book your lodging, be sure Nancy Parks knows you'll be fishing with us, as otherwise she'll have no way of knowing she needs to apply the discount. The Guesthouse turns away as many customers as they're able to take during the summer season, so if you'd like to stay there, you need to book both lodging and fishing at least 90 days in advance, with more notice preferred.
