The Shop

        Parks' Fly Shop has been in existence since 1953, and in that time we've learned a thing or two about what works and what doesn't.  You can walk into our shop in nothing but a tee shirt and pair of shorts, and if you have a credit card or enough cash on hand, you can walk out in some of the finest flyfishing equipment that money can buy, though you'll have to put the stains on your Orvis vest and the patches on your breathable waders yourself (though we can patch up a broken rod for you for a nominal fee).  Our fly-tying selection is fairly limited as our shop is not large, but the selection we offer is still larger than that of all but on shop between Gardiner and Bozeman.

        Your kids and spin-casting friends don't need to be left out of the fun, either.  Though our emphasis is on high quality fly tackle, we also offer several spinning rods and outfits starting at under $15.00 and the largest selection of effective spinning lures in town.  We also sell some camping, boating, and hiking gear (including the cheapest Bear Spray in town), knives, a limited amount of ammunition, clothing, and a selection of books about the Yellowstone area and the state of Montana.  You can even buy a Coke from our ancient machine.

        Please click one of the links to your left for more information on a particular category of products.  Pay particular attention to our selection of custom flies produced by Owner Richard Parks, Head Guide Walter Wiese, and local "Gardner River Guru" Matt Minch, whose stonefly nymphs are without doubt the best in the world.  And we're the only shop that's got 'em.
