Our Waters

The streams, rivers, lakes, and ponds within about an hour and fifteen minutes of Parks' Fly Shop offer rich and varied options for fly fishing the Yellowstone area.  You can find turbulent pocket water creeks where small, feisty trout eat big dry flies as you fish in solitude, flat meadow streams where long leaders and long trout are the rules rather than the exceptions, brawling canyon rivers, beaver ponds, and the largest alpine lake in North America.  All these different waters call for very different approaches to find angling success.  Please click the links to your left for more information on each of our primary fisheries.  Each link includes a description, notes on access, a hatch and fly pattern chart, fishing tips, and a list of top flies.  Of course you can always contact us for more information on a given fishery or for tips on which fishery to select.

More distant waters that may be of interest are covered under the "Distant Waters" page. (Under Construction Jan 2009)
